Matthew 10:29, Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?
about 6 months ago rick and i started talking about roasting our own coffee. we had two coffee shops, so why not. we knew the timing wasn’t exactly right, but knew that it was definitely something we would continue to pray over and not stop talking about.
in that time, we have closed one of our shops. best thing ever. go read about it in an older post. closing austin opened us up. gave us the chance to dream and think. we were also talking to our friends, jacob & barbara loyd. jacob part of the righteous bros. coffee company. they were in a position to work with us & we were all very excited. we met a few times. prayed about it. met some more & on february 3rd we knew it was right.
we will be giving back…here’s what we think about that…
At Two Sparrows Roasting Co we put God and our families first. We love coffee and lots of it!! We roast great coffee to build an even greater community, but we can’t just leave it at that. Our vision is bigger than coffee and bigger than us. We want to be a company that stands out and serves our community.
Giving back is important to us. As we sat around the table deciding where to give, it was obvious that we are all passionate about children and human trafficking. We knew we had to do our part to help make a difference. Along with local organizations that we’ll be teaming up with we feel led to contribute to organizations that help end human trafficking.
we are excited about this new adventure. we didn’t know anything about pie when we started down that adventure. here’s to learning more about coffee than we know about pie now.
our website is up & running!! go get ‘ya some coffee, twosparrowsroasting.com
